What do you learn?

Portugese (Macao/Macau) style egg tart

This recipe uses puff pastry to create light and flaky pastry that will be an absolute delight. The egg tart would be baked until the top of the egg filling is caramelised.

Super efficient

This recipe uses “quick puff pastry” to maximise speed yet achieve enough layers needed for the flakiness. Essentially this recipe uses two consecutive single folds – but of course more folds are welcome!

Zero wastage

Hanbit will show an ingenious method of rolling the puff pastry into a cylinder and slicing in nuggets to achieve zero wastage – you will be surprised!

Understand the needs

Hanbit comes from a non-pastry background. He worked in banking, consulting and IT. This meant that in order to become a pastry chef, he learnt everything from scratch. This journey helped him design his courses such that it’s accessible to home-bakers as well as professionals.

you make it much more easier than I could imagined.

Very informative course and well explained about puff pastry. A lot of trick and technique provided. Can follow step by step easily. The result come out very decent since first time; layers are flaky and the egg custard is so creamy and delicious. Thank you!

Finally got some decent egg tarts

Had so much trouble with egg tarts in the past - trying to learn from youtube simply didn't get me far. Thanks to Hanbit I finally made some decent egg tarts that taste delicious.
