Hi, I have a question regarding the cake flour. In almost all of the cake/cupcake recipes, cake flour is required. Unfortunately, in the UK bleached flours such as cake flour are not sold. I understand that cake flour has a lower protein content and therefore produces a softer cake, which plain flour does not replicate.
Please can a suitable solution be provided. I have tried substituting with plainflour/corn starch but my cakes end up dense. The chiffon recipe was a total disaster!
