Hi Hwaran!
Using beewax is a whole different technique that’s actually beyond the scope of the course. This course was specifically designed for butter coating + chefmade pan. There are plenty of resources on this technique on youtube and google – it’s all about keeping the mould warm so that you can coat it nicely without the beewax solidifying or getting coated too thick. I guess beewax would still work on chefmade pans but never tried them on this pan. This chefmade pan is very much optimised for use with butter coating.
From my experience, I saw little difference in the final product between beewax and butter coating so I advice buttercoating (under the condition that the beewax was coated nicely – and not over-thick)
Thanks,
Hanbit
