This cake is baked in a 10cm diameter pan – definitely much smaller than the regular carrot cake. The size gives a really cute look to it – and guess what, you don’t have to worry about slicing it!
Look at the cross-section. It’s cream cheese frosting right there. How cool is that?! Furthermore, this cream cheese frosting is far less sweet than the standard and even has a bit of tanginess.
Countless trial and error was needed to perfect the recipe. The sweetness level is just right, thanks to Hanbit’s signature cream cheese frosting.
Hanbit comes from a non-pastry background. He worked in banking, consulting and IT. This meant that in order to become a pastry chef, he learnt everything from scratch. This journey helped him design his courses such that it’s accessible to home-bakers as well as professionals.

I thought for such a basic cake, like carrot cake, the class would be quite standard. But I loved how Hanbit always provided extra information about each ingredient and how it effects the recipe as a whole. I've made the cake twice now and its come out perfect each time. My carrot cake has definitely leveled-up, regardless of it being a "simple" recipe. Thank you!
